Eat Your Feelings Named 2026 Anthem Awards Finalist for Veteran & Military Family Support
Veteran-led cooking and comedy show recognized for using food, laughter, and human connection to make conversations about mental health more approachable.
NORTHERN VIRGINIA | October 15, 2026 — Eat Your Feelings (EYF), a veteran-led cooking and comedy show that brings people together through food, humor, and honest conversations about mental health, has been named a finalist in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards.
EYF was recognized in the Humanitarian Action & Services cause area, in the Industry Specific Program: Veteran & Military Family Support category.
The Anthem Awards, presented by The Webby Awards, celebrate individuals, organizations, and initiatives creating meaningful social impact around the world.
Cooking. Comedy. Coping.
Created by Army veteran Cory Brown and co-hosted with Sam Nathews, Eat Your Feelings was built around a simple idea: sometimes the most important conversations happen when people aren't trying to have them.
The show brings veterans, military leaders, entertainers, advocates, and other guests into the kitchen to cook, laugh, share stories, and talk about life.
What begins as a conversation about a favorite meal can turn into something much more meaningful. Guests share experiences with military service, family, loss, resilience, mental health, and the everyday challenges that connect us.
EYF's approach is intentionally different from traditional mental health programming. Rather than beginning with a serious conversation, the show creates an environment where people can relax, have fun, and connect naturally.
"When Sam and I started Eat Your Feelings, we weren't trying to create a traditional mental health show," said Brown, EYF's founder and co-host. "We wanted to make people laugh, cook some good food, and create an environment where people could just be themselves. If that helps someone feel a little less alone or makes it easier to have a conversation they've been avoiding, that's what this is all about. To have that work recognized by the Anthem Awards is pretty special."
While EYF has a particular commitment to veterans and military families, its message is universal: connection matters, laughter helps, and checking on the people around us can make a real difference.
